Let me at the outset wish you and your family members a Happy and Prosperous New Year 2012.
As has been a practice in the past, we are printing the December issue as “Abstract Issue” highlighting the Scientific Programme and the Abstracts of presentation to be done at APICON 2012 at KOLKATA from January 12 – 15, 2012. This will enable the attending delegates to plan their scientific activities well in advance.
The scientific programme will commence with a C.M.E., Dr. B.B. Thakur, Dean, Indian College of Physicians has drawn an excellent programme with the emphasis and motto of “Futuristic Medicine : Relevance in Clinical Practice”. This will appeal to both post graduates and API Members and delegates attending the conference.
President-Elect, Dr.Sandhya Kamath has done a marvelous job in providing a three day scientific feast for the delegates attending this Annual Conference.
I thank all the members of the editorial board for giving me full support to bring JAPI, to its present heights. I thank all of them for their unstinted support. I also thank the members of Governing Body of API and Faculty Council Members of ICP for their support all throughout in discharging my duty as an Editor. Last, but not the least, all you members for the critical response to the betterment of the standard of the journal.
